Just being me...

So today I took my little sister to Baskin Robbins, and I borrowed a $20 bill of my mom's. She owed me $5 so all I had to do was bring her the $15 change from the ice cream. But hey I'm me remember? So of course I lost all the money and had to pay my mom my entire last paycheck that I just got yesterday =( So..I thought I had money but now I don't. Our first summit payment of $150 is due tomorrow, I owe my little brother $25 for video games, and I have to pay for my little girl next week ($28)  Good thing I'm getting a job because soon my college/car/entirelife savings account is going to be emptified.

Ironic

So I had a job interview on Monday afternoon, and they'd like to hire me. It's a day-care center like 3 minutes away from my house, and I'd be working on monday-friday; late afternoons. It's perfect because it's part-time, works with my schedule (except for possible future soccer practices...), and it's working with little kids- which is my dream job. So I'm excited. I really really really want to work there. Only problem is that AFTER the interview, my mom happened to remember that she is using the car 4 out of those 5 days I'm supposed to work.

So..I need money to buy a car, I need a job to earn money to buy a car, and I need a car to get to that job so that I can earn money to buy a car.  How is that going to work?  I have no idea...prayers would be appreciated. I think it'll work out somehow but it would be nice to have a car of my own

new additions

Well here's one of my "rarely" posts. We got a new foster-baby on Thursday, and a new puppy on Saturday =) The baby's name is Jovanni, and he's 9 months old. He has some developmental problems, but he's a dear- he hardly ever cries and he has a beautiful smile. The puppy's name is Haydee, and she's a 3-month old black lab mix. She's a pretty good puppy =) Anyhow that's it for now. It's kind of hard with a puppy and a baby all at once. It's a lot of fun though. Just hard to do chemistry with a baby on your lap, a dog barking in the other room, the vacuum going, my little brother playing cello, and my mom trying to teach school to my frustrated little sister. So yeah that's it for now

Merry New Year

I made some New Year's resolutions this year.  I rarely keep more than one of them, but this year I made 10 and maybe I'll keep more than I have in the past. So here goes....
1. Get a job
2. Start running (or some sort of exercise) and stretching
3. Dye my hair
4. Stop eating so much candy (lol)
5. Get a driver's license
6. Get to the Platinum round of Bible quizzing at Summit 2007
7. Pray, read THE BIBLE more (esp. vs. the amount of time I spend reading other books....)
8. Volunteer at a Crisis Pregnancy Center
9. Learn to sew/crochet
10. Keep my room clean

We'll see how that all goes....I finished my 70th book last night at about a quarter to midnight!!! So I read 70 books in 2006....my new record since I started keeping track in 2003. I finished Les Miserables on Saturday, and the one I finished last night was the Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. (interesting book....)

That was a lame turn of the year. We went to the Beckers and had a blast with them, but we left super early so we got home at about 11 p.m. Then my whole family went to bed so I was the only one awake in our whole big lonely house. So I just did a puzzle, wrote out resolutions, and read a book. Yay for 2007! I wanted to stay up all night but that's no fun by yourself so I went to bed at 1:30 a.m.
